Kanagawa private junior highs for April 2027: dates from the schools' own guidebooks

Kanagawa's private junior highs publish their own exam dates. The prefecture also posts a compiled table of every school's places, dates and fees. On 9 Oct 2026 that compiled table, on the prefecture's site, was still the Reiwa 8 edition, for entry in April 2026. Those dates belong to a year that has already sat its exams. The dates below are from each school's own April 2027 guidebook. They are a sample, not the full prefecture.

Yamate's site lets you register an ID and type the form from 10:00 on 6 Dec 2026. The exam fee itself is accepted from 10:00 on 6 Jan 2027. Paying for two or more Yamate rounds at the same time is ¥40,000. Adding a round later does not get that discount. Kyoritsu's fee is ¥25,000 a round, and a card payment needs 3D Secure.
Futaba's and Senzoku's rows are the returnee booklets only. Their February general exams, if they run them, are in a different guidebook and are not in this table. Keio's general exam is also a different booklet; the returnee row is the one read here. Keio's second day, for children who pass the first, is 4 Feb 2027.
Who may apply, in one line from each book: Kyoritsu wants a girl due to finish elementary school in March 2027 who can commute from a parent or guardian. Yamate wants a child due to finish elementary school in March 2027. Hosei's returnee round also wants a parent's time abroad of at least one year and a return in March 2024 or later. Senzoku's returnee booklet, as read here, states the birth window 2 Apr 2014 to 1 Apr 2015 and the exam contents; ask the school for any further returnee condition before you apply. The hours after a pass
Kyoritsu posts round A at 22:00 on 1 Feb and round B at 18:30 on 3 Feb, on its enquiry site, and about ten minutes later on the school homepage. It does not answer a phone call asking whether you passed. The entrance fee is ¥300,000, due by noon the next day (noon on 2 Feb after round A, noon on 4 Feb after round B). The facility fee is another ¥200,000, due by 13:00 on 10 Feb. From noon on 4 Feb the school phones home, or the emergency number, if a vacancy opens.
Yamate's entrance fee is ¥260,000, due by noon on 6 Feb, and paying it is what completes enrolment. The fee is not returned. Hosei's enrolment payment is ¥350,000 inside a window that depends on the round (for the 2 Feb exam, 10:00 on 3 Feb through 16:00 on 4 Feb). Miss it and you are treated as having declined. Of that sum, ¥300,000 is not returned. ¥50,000 can be returned in May if you file the decline form by 16:00 on 31 Mar 2027 or postmark it that day.
Annual school fees, from these books: Kyoritsu lists school charges of ¥732,000 a year (tuition ¥44,000 a month and a facility-maintenance charge of ¥17,000 a month) plus ¥97,200 of deposits, and says the charges can be revised while the child is enrolled. Yamate lists about ¥65,800 a month, of which the tablet line (¥3,800) is labelled a 2026 actual, plus ¥121,400 once a year and a facility charge of ¥240,000 taken by bank debit in May. Hosei prints a first-year total of ¥1,176,222 and labels it the 2026 figure. Use the school's 2027 page before you budget Hosei's year.

The day it prints is 9 Feb 2027, from 9:00, at the Kanagawa private-school hall. Phone 045-641-3785. Ask any other school whether it uses the same sitting.
What goes wrong
Kyoritsu will not let you switch method after you pay, and it will not refund a fee except the one case where you pass round A, enrol, and had also paid for round B. Hosei will not take a returnee envelope at the window, and a late postmark is refused whatever the reason.
