This page is Sumida ward's (墨田区) public kindergarten round (区立幼稚園), not the licensed daycare application. The two use different desks and different dates.
Who can apply
A child who lives in Sumida and was born from 2 April 2022 through 1 April 2023, including a child whose move into the ward by 1 April 2027 is already fixed. The ward says a child who needs extra support can be accepted when they can join the group with help. How many children each kindergarten can take depends on that kindergarten.
The page lists three kindergartens, each recruiting 30 children: Midori (緑), Daisan Terajima (第三寺島) and Tachibana (立花).
When and how
4, 5 and 6 November 2026, 9:00–16:00. Forms have been available since 13 October 2026.
File in person at the kindergarten you want, or at the admissions desk on the 4th floor of the ward office (子ども施設課入園係). You can also file on the electronic form linked from the page. You need the kindergarten application and the education-and-childcare certification form. The page says the recruitment guide has the rest.
If you withdraw, take the withdrawal form to the admissions desk (03-5608-6152). Verify the day's arrangements with that desk. This round does not promise a place.
