Who may apply
Grade-6 age in Japan, lived abroad because of the overseas work of a parent who holds Japanese nationality, and either (a) already back: moved into a primary school in Japan on or after 1 June 2024, with 1+ year abroad continuously before the return or 2+ years in total since 1 June 2020; or (b) still abroad and returning by the end of March 2027, with 1+ year abroad continuously by 4 December 2026 or 2+ years in total from 1 June 2020 to 4 December 2026.

日本の小学校第６学年に相当する学齢児童で、日本国籍を持つ保護者の海外勤務にともない海外に在住したことがあり、以下のア、イのいずれかの条件を満たしていること。ア：すでに帰国している児童の場合 令和６（２０２４）年６月１日以降に国内の小学校に転・編入学した児童で、海外に在住している期間が以下のいずれかであること。・帰国した日からさかのぼり継続して１年以上 ・令和２（２０２０）年６月１日以降に通算して２年以上／イ：現在海外在住中で令和９（２０２７）年３月末日までに帰国予定の児童の場合 海外に在住している期間が、以下のいずれかであること。・令和８（２０２６）年１２月４日までに継続して１年以上 ・令和２（２０２０）年６月１日以降、令和８（２０２６）年１２月４日までに通算して２年以上
