Edogawa ward: April 2027 daycare rounds depend on the child's class age

Edogawa ward (江戸川区) splits the April 2027 daycare application (令和9年4月) by class age and by round. The order the form arrives does not affect the result. The ward says so on the page.

First round, private facilities

This round is for private facilities. The ward-office counter does not take ordinary applications in this round. A brand-new facility that has no building yet is the exception and can be filed at the counter.

Handing the form to your first-choice private facility is 9:30–16:00, not on Sundays or holidays. The ward asks you to use a weekday if the facility can take it then. Mail and online must arrive by the deadline.

The ward plans to mail first-round results on 18 December 2026. There is no phone notice.

Second round

19–25 December 2026, for ward facilities and private facilities, ages 0–5, and for extended care at ward facilities. A form from 26 December onward is treated as the final round, not this one.

The main-office rooms used on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 December are on the 5th floor, 10:00–17:00. Other days, your first-choice licensed facility takes the form at 9:30–16:00, except Sunday 20 December.

In that section the page also prints 16 February 2027, mail only. The extracted page does not put a "results" heading on that line, so treat it as a date to check in the guidebook rather than as a confirmed result day.

Final round

The deadline printed for the final round is 28 February 2027. File online, by mail, at the childcare desk (weekdays 8:30–17:00), or at your first-choice licensed facility (9:30–16:00). The labeled result date is 16 March 2027, mail only.
