Nakano ward: two rounds for April 2027 daycare, and who is carried into the second

Nakano ward (中野区) runs two rounds for April 2027 licensed daycare because there are many applications. The second round has fewer open places, because it happens after the first round's offers.

Dates

Both rounds must reach the ward's daycare admissions desk by 17:00 on the last day. Online applications have the same 17:00 cutoff. The ward says it will not extend the first-round deadline.

Round	Apply	Results (planned)
First	Fri 2 Oct 2026 – Fri 30 Oct 2026	about 17:15 on Fri 29 Jan 2027
Second	Mon 2 Nov 2026 – Wed 10 Feb 2027	about 17:15 on Wed 10 Mar 2027

If you applied during October and were not offered a place, you are included in the second round automatically. From May onward that application expires, and you have to apply again for a later month.

What the ward asks you to read

The page says the guidebook (保育所等のごあんない) is required reading. Nakano asks families to apply online. Other ways of filing are described in that guidebook, not on this summary page. An online application after the 17:00 deadline counts toward the next round.

The ward certifies that you need daycare (保育の必要性の認定) from the form, then ranks applications (利用調整). An offer is not final until the facility has done its interview and health check. Results are also posted on the website from about 13:00 on the result day, and mailed.

Verify with Nakano's daycare admissions desk. The points table is in the guidebook, and this page does not promise a place at any index.
